Labor Day and Memorial Day should just be the national start/end dates for schools and have that be that

 

No those are holidays

 

Dorf wants to ruin 2 great holidays with school

 

School has been back for like 3 weeks here but I think they got out like a full week before Memorial Day

 

Wait til you hear that I wish my school had Saturday classes too!

So where I went to high school, and a lot of New England boarding schools, we would have half days on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This would allow all of our sports contests to take place those afternoons without missing class time and allowing for travel, in some cases 3 hours each way.

the huge win here is that all of those days count as real school days. We would start maybe September 10-15, finish before Memorial Day, get a full week for Thanksgiving, 3 weeks for Christmas, and 2.5 for spring break.

since the majority of students are boarding students at these schools, they live on campus so being around school on a Saturday was their plan anyway.

 

Damn I guess it makes up for it since they get done early but this time of year just *feels* like summer still

 

im going to be in 110 degree weather all next weekend

Can only assume every talk radio guy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be very quick to point out tomorrow morning that Lowe had twice as many homers as a National as Devers has so far as a Giant. Clearly better player.

Yeah when I think about New England radio stations I mostly think about how positive they are about their teams
