Rivalry Weekend or whatever ™️

 

Are the cards good

 

We already have a real rivalry weekend type of setup too in late Sept where they always schedule a bunch of in division matchups at the very end hoping for close races. Always get NYY-BOS, CHC-STL, SFG-LAD, PHI/NYM/ATL three-way hatefest etc etc in the closing weekend or weekends of the year

 

the mets and yankees playing during rivalry weekend is so dumb lol

the mets havent played their arch disivion nemesis, the atlanta braves, yet this season and still wont for another month. but sure, lets keep pretending anyone cares about the subway series.

 

Dude who the fuck knows lol. Roster is meager on paper but we’ve won 10 of 11 currently

also many of these rivalries are forced but I’m told ours does in fact matter to people from the middle of the state area that I avoid like the fucking plague

Do all Mets fans still consider Atlanta the #1 rival over Philly? I was wondering this just now. That’s the premier NL East rivalry to me but obviously I grew up watching ball in the late 90s and early/mid 00s when both those teams were fucking tanks with a lot of star power so that’s why it’s that way for me

 

for me it is 100% Mets Braves as the biggest NLE rivalry, always has been. I think a segment of the younger Mets fanbase considers Philly the bigger rival but i won't argue too hard in either direction.

 

Yeah it seems like Mets Phillies has a lot of juice online I’ve seen stuff you’re talking about there. Guess it’s probably different if you’re a Mets fan in NJ or something too

Yeah, I'm an old person and the Braves are forever locked as the Mets' rivals. Their 90s dominance is burned in my brain.
