This is why I have to laugh at the media for making this into such a big deal, it happens a lot and there are countless examples and they are making it out like this is the first time it’s ever happened or will ever happen.

People are actually writing articles about what team should trade for Devers because he doesn’t get along with Breslow right now.

Yeah there’s a lot of this I don’t agree with—chiefly saying “the media” is making this story a big deal when Devers has been giving quotes aplenty quite freely since spring training lol. It’s not the first time a player has been unwilling to change positions but it’s the second time for him in 3 months and he’s been super public about it. I don’t think players should be silenced but if he’s talking about it freely like this you don’t get to blame “the media”

Sox should’ve prepped him better to have to move around the diamond potentially. Devers probably could be more discerning with what he says publicly about personnel/roster decisions. It’s at least a medium-sized deal, probably even a big one by mid-May baseball story standards. They should not and will not trade him and anyone posting stuff to the contrary is delusional and/or shitposting. I’ll gladly let you blame “the media” for that if you show me an article haha
