I miss when there were 47 companies making cards and they’d come in cans and have insane die-cuts and inserts. I buy maybe 2-3 packs a year now and I get zero cards worth anything and if I’m lucky I’ll get 2-3 Reds players and they’ll be like Ahmed Rosario, Wil Myers, and Luke Maile.

 

I still have a few unopened cans from back in the day. But yeah, just like every other industry, the consolidation has come at the expense of us.

This was the first series I bought when I started collecting cards in 97 and because of those nostalgic reasons it’s still my favorite series of all time.
