Can you actually get good cards just buying one off packs or do you have to buy the boxes? I buy packs every now and then. Went into a card shop to buy a box and the sticker price made me walk out empty handed
honestly loose packs are suspicious to me generally. scummy shop owners or people at target will weigh the packs to figure out which ones are likeliest to have a hit, leaving the rest the pack with a hit in it might weigh more because the hit is a "relic" card containing a piece of jersey, bat, ball, etc, thus weighing more. alternatively, a pack with a hit might weigh less because the value of the hit is so big that there is a card or two less than expected, thus weighing less. a difference in margin either way will prompt someone with a portable scale (or a normal scale for a shop owner) to buy that pack and leave the rest, likely leaving you with getting nothing that valuable unfortunately, best bet to get something cool is buying a box, but even then you can spend $150 and not really get anything you want or that valuable, but $150 on ebay can you get something really cool. hell, $20 on ebay can get you something that you really enjoy depending on your preference, which players you like, etc but then you lose out on the experience of "anything could be in that pack"
@Zoshchenko you inspired me to impulse buy some cheap packs this morning Probably nothing good in here
There was a 2022 complete set I almost bought but wasn’t sure if it was worth it being a few years old?
complete sets can be cool to have but there won’t be any autos or rare parallels but complete sets are what I always got as a kid because I didn’t care or really even knew that there were other things to chase after, so complete sets can definitely be cool imo
Kind of day where I'm like good a rain out gives me a day off from baseball lol Drew do you want Devin Williams back yet
