Extensions like that Kristian Campbell deal are so funny because like, you know one party is robbing the other but it’s not quite clear which way it’s going yet. Probably the team is doing the robbing but he could also just suck forever. But it’s way less likely that we say “hey that was a pretty fair market extension” in 8 years lol

 

I’m trying not to be condescending I swear but there’s actually a pretty regular consistent pattern to it. Last game of a home stand before a midweek road trip is typically on a Wed or Thurs and typically is a day game. Local start time for those may vary team to team but usually between 12-115

Right. I think “secure the bag while you can” is a totally valid, if unfortunate, reality for all of these. I also think this is less egregious than Albies because Campbell has so much more downside risk. Albies had a season plus if not more under his belt before he signed right? I don’t remember that being predebut
