Legitimately game saving I feel like perpetually being stuck in game 7s for the past x years paid off specifically in this game, both in playoff urgency and endurance
Very happy that if things don’t take a drastic turn, Carolina will start the playoffs against the Sens and then the Flyers, two teams they’ve never faced in the postseason. Tired of the Isles and Devils and nice to have those new experiences.

Man these refs. Zadorov throws a sucker punch over a ref that is holding him back with no call, and then Thompson taken down by a blatant slewfoot and no call. Krebs also called for a penalty for who knows what in the 1st. Sabres power play is still ass though anyway. 1-1 after 2 so still anyones game and series.
Canes are up 3-0 in the series while their top line has combined for just 1 point. If that line can get going they should be unstoppable
Absolutely putrid power play for the Canes as well, they were so hot this year and have cooled off at the worst time. Thankfully the PL is back to elite levels.
I know you guys praised the Sens I just dont think theyre a very good team East overall is just so meh to me. makes me more annoyed the Devils couldnt even make the playoffs.
Counter point, I feel like the Sens are a good team who have failed to rise to the occasion of playing against a Canes team that’s arguably the best they’ve been under Rod. The second line of Hall-Stankoven-Blake have been next level post Olympics and carrying into the postseason. Ehlers joining Staal and Martinook due to that depth has elevated that line to levels we haven’t seen back when they were rolling with Fast/Carrier over the last half decade. Miller and Nikishin have hit a groove recently after a full regular season with the team, Nikishin in particular looking real comfortable having had to adapt to the league as a whole.
They are probably the deepest team in the east. I’ve been on record saying they lack a game breaker, but arguably their biggest question mark (goaltending) has been awesome. So if that’s fixed you can probably book them for the cup finals
Sens getting a power play out of this is kinda wild lol def shouldn't have been a major, clean hit but looked late to me
Skinner is the only penguin who actually showed up this playoffs and he's getting benched tonight. That's shitty I get needing to make a change I'd scratch almost anyone over Stu
