As you are well aware, that’s going to be any Canes playoff game. Doesn’t help that Ottawa are a team modeled after us. Personally what I’m seeing are two top teams playing playoff hockey and all the other East games look like regular season puck. I’m floored by the amount of space available to guys on the ice when I’m watching Buffalo/Boston and Pitt/Philly.
I know it's division rivalry or whatever but idc, I really love watching the Mammoth play hockey. I'll probably regret saying that when they lock down our division in a couple years. A lot of focus has been on the Avs/Stars/Wild trio at the top but god the Mammoth are just so solid and satisfying to watch and easy to root for
this is the worst camera work I have ever seen in an NHL game. The dude has no idea where the puck is
Rust lost his mind and deserved the four but Konecsy kicking him is just as, if not more, shitty. insane that the flyers come away with a power play with that shit
they can't complete a pass and are still constantly passing up shots for dogshit passes they've tried a cross ice pass in front of the net like 100 times this series and it has never worked
Wish we could scratch all these old ass men next game and call up some young blood. this team has nothing left
Love waking up to a Stars win, hate that I went to bed after first OT There's no reason for these games to start at 9pm local time dammit
I am SO tired this morning but it was worth it. Stars second period was awful but third and OT were phenomenal especially in the PK. Faksa deserves massive recognition for his PK work including his successful block and clear without a stick. PK as a whole played great but Faksa especially. Oettinger had a great game as well, only 1 goal I feel could really be pinned on him. Effort on defense in the back half of the game was absolutely insane especially considering how much they had to work. Quinn Hughes is a BABY. Dude does not shut up the second he faces an ounce of adversity, often self-inflicted. I cannot ever imagine rooting for that loser. Outside of that aspect and Foligno still kinda being a clown the Wild played a phenomenal game, especially Wallstedt. He stepped up to meet the moment so well and probably should’ve gotten third star at least by the eye test, if not second. Wild also did a great job staying on the attack. Officiating was just weird throughout. Missed tons of shit while calling the smallest incidents. I don’t think it favored anyone this game and calls made weren’t bad, just inconsistent. I would’ve had a blast with this game if I were neutral, instead it was stressful as hell but worth it. What a game.
