“Dad, why are we in line for wristbands?” “Because I told you we were sitting up high but would get close enough to touch the ice.”
What a great memory that’ll be, also what a team the Ducks are going to be. Carlsson is going to be a menace.
Looking forward to seeing the youth movement in Anaheim. Once they start playing a little more aggressively, it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch. That might be the only kid sized Ross Johnston jersey ever created. We share a last name and he was so stoked to hear them call his name out last year when we started going to games.
Watched them play the Ducks and the Kings last week and idk just seem like they’re a well oiled machine so it doesn’t matter if players are underperforming. Also Seth Jarvis is going god mode rn.
Yes, i’m driving now but will edit this post with expanded thoughts when I get home. Edit: Ehlers is getting tons of looks and is just figuring out the chemistry with an Aho-Jarvis duo that have been doing this together for years. No worries about Ehlers at all, just needs the time to adjust. Svechnikov feels like more of a long term enigma, dude has always blown hot and cold and to this day remains firmly in the camp of “he just needs one year where he puts it all together and it’ll really click” but right now I don’t know what you’re going to get from him. A bit of additional context, Stankoven and Blake are the other two guys on the second line. Stankoven is playing center for the first time in the NHL and both guys are only in their sophomore years so I think inconsistent production for that whole line is to be expected. Svechnikov will also split time with Hall on that line, whoever doesn’t have the hot hand will get demoted to the fourth line with Kotkaniemi and Robinson.
his is the most hope for a Cup we have had in a long time. BOLD PREDICTION This can only mean one of three things: 1) This breaks the Toronto jinx and the Leafs win this year 2) This uses up all Toronto's luck and the Leafs will be terrible 3) Something in-between
