I never really followed hockey outside of going to games here and there but watching this Flyers game with some Hockey Heads and this shit is intense
as a Pittsburgh sports fan I absolutely hate the flyers. I liked the 76ers with AI, don’t have an opinion on the Phillies and the eagles have been annoying the last few years.
historically they’ve been hated due to the whole broad street bullies thing that they persisted in doing through to modern day even after the game changed…but they’ve been so shittty lately I don’t think most of the leagues fans give them much thought outside of Pittsburgh and maybe NY/Boston a little bit. I fell off hard during the mid teens after being a pretty big fan all through the 90s and 2000s. They just started getting bad and I started being too busy to spend as much attention on them. But happy to see them on the upswing and back in the playoffs. and yeah flyers hockey heads are indeed intense. Hell, Stanley Cup playoffs are intense. Probably the best playoff sport to watch out of any of the major sports tbh.
Sabres have had many heated playoff series and brawls with the Flyers over the last 30+ years (not to mention the 1975 Cup Final, although before my time) so yeah, they are pretty hated amongst Sabres fans, even not being in the same division.
Hintz is definitely not coming back this series, probably not at all this postseason Not great given our desperate need for speed
Sabres have been all over Boston since the get go but just can't beat Swayman yet. One bad break cost them in the first but keep playing their game and they'll keep generating chances.
