I am begging the Ducks to just stick the whole team in front of the goal since they cannot defend the man advantage to save their lives.
I like 3-2-1. There’s merit to winning games in regulation consistently just as there’s merit to keeping games close and pushing other teams to the edge. Two points for OT win is the perfect balance because you’re requiring gameplay that is fundamentally different than 5v5 to determine a winner.
@Fucking Dustin fucking idiots throwing Nazi salutes at a game recently. Stars are investigating now and looks like lifetime bans potentially.
I saw that on Reddit and it was so gross to see. The woman who recorded it so the investigation can happen rules, very grateful for that. No place for that shit
Taking the kiddo to our last home game tonight for Ducks/Blues; he always groans when I tell him we’re sitting up in the 400’s and tells me he wants to sit closer. Took advantage of a group sales email I got and snagged seats on the corner floor about 9 rows back of the glass. He’s going to be thrilled.
Plus side: Troy Terry tipped the little dude a puck during warmups. Downside: I spent good money to watch us get smoked 6-2.
Flyers 39 wins (24 in regulation), will easily be a playoff team Devils 40 wins (28 in regulation), will miss the playoffs by 6+ points Lmao
Unless I’m doing my math wrong, Philly would still be three points ahead of NJ in a world where 3-2-1 is adopted. I think OT guaranteeing you a point is a good reward for teams who can keep games close and continuously push teams to the edge.
For anyone curious about what 3-2-1 standings would look like, Natural Stat Trick has you taken care of in perpetuity: Natural Stat Trick - Alternate Standings
very fair but at least it would make these last few games mean something (this Devils team does not deserve to be in the playoffs, don't get me wrong)
Yeah I think a team with one more win of any variation shouldn’t be seven points back. Will be curious to see what a full 3-2-1 conversion will look like once the regular season is fully wrapped up. Side note, really hope round one ends up being the Pennsylvania battle it’s currently set up to be. Things always go nuts when it’s those two.
