Yep. I mostly try to ignore his current online presence and his most recent books annoyingly have tooooooo much on the nose anti-Trump nonsense for me, however, I can’t deny how good his books were and how immersed I get in his stories.

If you ever want a “less known/popular” book of his that I loved it’s Needful Things. Just a small town and everyone is out of their minds. But obviously Salem’s Lot, the Shining, IT, etc. all are worth the hype.

I’ve def told people about chorus before though. Why not? Way less embarrassing than listening to Joe Rogan and people admit that willingly. Normally it’s in the context of telling the dip/chip story.

However, his stories will not age well as there’s a lot of problematic scenes involving children, he leaned very hard into the “bad guy who uses the n word” character a lot, and with horror there’s a lot of triggers involved and he doesn’t shy away from a lot of those.
