Never joined a leagued, have played dnd remotely though

 

how do you roll the dice

 

There's sites such as roll20 that have built in dice to play DND sessions and run full boards virtually

I haven't done it yet but I've always wanted to

 

Im in 2 dynasty leagues and one redraft that my family does for fun. Id like to get it down to 1 dynasty and the family league.

 

I've always wanted to do DND but it's like "you need to be a super nerd but also have a ton of friends but also have a sizeable amount of time you can allocate to this and nothing else" and those 3 things have not aligned for me ever

 

the friends thing is what always holds me back

 

the concept of DND is something i've never been able to fully wrap my head around. i used to work with a guy who was in his 50s and had been playing with the same group of guys like twice a month for over 30 years lol he said they had one game take 2 years one time.

 

NFL thread DND session would be so chaotic

DND seems like a lot of fun for my friends who play it, but yeah, the time commitment is a big deal breaker.

The programs the run it are really good but I always hated doing it online, much more fun in person at a table.

 

I naturally find myself, whether because I want to or against my will, being thrust into the organizational role of anything like DND but I don't know enough about it to be an effective DM so I would need someone to coordinate it all and be DM to even think about doing it but if someone I knew did then I think I would

 

Yeah ideally I'd wanna play at a table with friends but I just don't believe it's going to happen so I'm willing to settle for virtual

 

I bet I could convince my friend Rob to host a virtual DND session where he’d DM and break you in Dustin. He’s super into it and I think even has a podcast lol

 

How are his vibes

Can you get him to post on a trial basis so I can see how we'd get along

Cuz I'd totally be down

 

How I started was I had one friend who is super fun to play games with ask if I wanted to go to a community night where you just show up and they stick you at a table. Played for like 3 years with the same people from the first night

 

Maybe after I move I will do this

 

You and him would get along famously. He's very nice.

I'll ask him if he has any coming up. He has done One-Shot campaigns for newbies in the past.

Idk if I'd participate in a DND campaign with posters but I would certainly watch a stream of you playing lol

 

If the time zones allow Im down to run a short 3 session campaign for the chat over christmas break/January
