My current job is def my best, it’s not only the most acclaimed restaurant I’ve worked for by far but it’s also the place that actually got me into selling wine for real rather than just having a couple go to bottles and asking for manager /Somm help past that

having a 900 bottle list is no joke and I’ve been fortunate to learn from several certified (level 2) / advanced (level 3) Somm’s at weekly tastings, and I’ve also gotten try like 150-200 of those so far which has helped me get a better idea of what each wine region’s flavor characteristics are

It probably is my highest paying job ever too. But it’s hard to really FEEL that in an economy that has doubled in cost across the board since before I worked in fine dining

Only horror movie that legit caused me to not be able to sleep is after I saw Blair Witch Project in theatres when I was like 10

Also the Borg assimilation scene in Star Trek: First Contact, but that ain't a horror film..

I’ve never had a bad job, per se. I even didn’t mind working at McDonalds and Wendy’s. But one of those is probably the worst. I lik my current job the best. Being charge has its benefits.

 

I saw it without knowing a thing about it besides it was a horror movie with Julia Garner and I loved it. Probably for the best to go in blind.

 

I was a caddy when I was 14 and these rich mother fuckers would only tip like 20 bucks lugging their clubs around four four hours on a hot summer day. The job was tip only.

yeah, we moved to San Antonio in like July so I was out there walking during late July/early August. I honestly attribute that time to the beginning of my massive depressive episode that ultimately ended my relationship and I went back home to Dallas.
