I’ve already put in 48 hours this week. Monday had Council where I had to get into a spat in public with a council member about the election at 11pm at night. Tuesday was the first day of candidate petitioning so I had to be back up at work before 8am and then was there until 9am hosting an information session with candidates. Today was day 1 of the interview process where it was an informal q&a with leadership, a social lunch with all the department heads, a 1.5hr tour of the city, and then an hour meet and greet with all city staff. My voice is shot and I still have the actual interviews tomorrow which is a 30 minute scenario exercise and 45 minute traditional interview.

Problem is this process is happening right at the start of election season which is my favorite thing so I’m like, why would I want to take this other job when I love doing this so much. I’m not even sure if I get offered I’ll take it at this point.

kinda where im at. i could move into management and get a pay bump but it would be so much more work. something ill probably consider when robin is the age holly is now but at this point id like a few more years to bullshit and see movies in the middle of the day lol

i did two days worth of work today and already finished my caseload for the week (19 cases)

going into the office in the morning tomorrow so ill probably net out +3 cases for the week which is great since we had an elevated caseload this week anyways

 

I have closed July so I’ll be not doing much next week and coast into vacation
