Let me tell you what, I missed Maryland dispensary weed. New Orleans gotta get on our level with that shit.

But I didn’t even really do anything other than Somm school and chill at my mom’s house and it was still a good trip. Got some nice morning walks in, ate some home cooked local food that I can’t get anywhere near as good outside of NOLA, enjoyed some nice subtropical weather that actually wasn’t even that hot, etc. My mom’s husband is a really cool guy and we always vibe to some music and shit

Went to an open mic in the main urban strip of my Bmore neighborhood tonight, didn’t even get there in time. It apparently ends at 10 and I got there at 9:52 during the last artist/duo. I was just gonna check it out and see what it’s like for next week if I couldn’t play.

But the guy who runs it not only immediately recognized me and came up to me. But remembered I’m Terrain, said he loves watching my IG videos and that I really just do my own thing (he’s more in the cover-band circuit and I’ve reached out to him before when he had “ins” for paid cover gigs at other venues) and just let me hop on. Then people apparently really liked it and I got a beer and a shot bought for me for free.

Then I went to Ruben’s, my neighborhood late night taco/burrito joint, with a couple of the musicians I met, and the guy who was working has seen me order there like 100 times and randomly decided not to charge me or take my credit card. Hell yeah lol
