Amendments can be re-Amended. Feel like way too many Americans don’t realize that. The point of our government is not that we can’t change what’s in the constitution. The point is supposed to be that a fascist attempt to undo progress toward freedom cannot possibly get through our entire court system and congress, with hundreds of other policy makers to convince and hoops to jump through.

but so far, Donald Trump is proving that it can if the president appoints a LOT of court justices who are loyal to/blackmailed by his administration, and if Congress has a complicit person with a lot of longstanding power and funding (Mitch McConnell) to approve all those court justices while denying those appointed by other presidents

It can be intepreted several different ways though. And that’s how changing the constitution in court actually works. You’d be surprised at the verbal gymnastics they do to twist the meaning of something.

They are also welcome to pass or remove any restrictions on who can and can’t own a gun. Right now it’s only people convicted of a felony federally. In some states it’s no one can have a gun. Sure it’s a “law abiding citizen’s right” but they can ALWAYS move the goalposts about what is or isn’t a “law abiding citizen”
