had to call to see if I still had to go to juror duty tomorrow and they told me to check back tomorrow after 5 pm

not sure if other places do it the same as in PA, but I had to answer like 100 questions when I got picked for jury duty. I basically just answered them all anti-cop and anti-government and they did not pick me

 

I once actually got picked and I said I was anti cop and anti government and I was annoyed

the only reason I got out of jury duty was cause they said the case was going to last at least 3 months but I told them my work would only pay for 2 so they let me go

Yeah that was such a massive reach and weird straw man argument to make

 

Josh banned them since that day it seems prob rightfully so. The calling people “Randy” and “Dusty” was so, so weird

 

A lot of people who just met me will do that and just be like “I’m gonna call you Randy can I call you Randy?” And I’m like my own friends and family don’t ever call me that, what makes you think I’m comfortable with a nickname like that from you lol

 

I still allow it cause I’m more awkwardly-nice / people-pleasing IRL and I’m not as likely as I am on the internet to be like “no that is not my name”

but it’s weird energy lol I would never call someone I’m casual acquaintances with a name other than what they asked to be called. If I ever do it with a close friend, it’s a joke with full knowledge it won’t actually make them feel weird in that joking context (and if they said they don’t like it I’d stop).
