was up at 530 to do a 6 mile hike today. very tired, but it was worth it

checking out that new series Untamed. the beginning was not fun for me lol

 

in this area I like Delaware beaches actually cause it has a little of this boardwalk type stuff, but also a little of “this is a place with animal farms and and fresh picked fruit stands” and it doesn’t get as jam packed crowded as Ocean City. I really wanna see Cape May too, I bet i would like it

I also quite like Jacksonville beaches cause it has just like regular cool bars and restaurants / isn’t only kitschy overpriced shit, and is never that crowded and isn’t expensive to rent a hotel in either. “Jax sucks for a major city” but that actually makes it an excellent beach getaway spot lol. There is plenty to do there, it’s not in the middle of nowhere and it has at least “large town” amounts of culture and entertainment, but it’s also not trendy. Murph would love the golfing too it is a great city for that

 

if you are looking for like a “pristine turquoise water and white sand” kind of Florida beach experience, that’s not in Jacksonville but it does very much exist 30-45 minutes southeast of Jacksonville in St Augustine / Ponte Vedra

if you want “beach + nature preserve” vibes with trails and coastal plants and zero people around, Big Talbot Island northeast of town has that
