Hobestly if it were me, and you’re telling me I can’t have Carter, Hunter or the two OTs, I’d give serious consideration to Jeaunty or Warren over Tet lol

I haven’t heard much on that front, but I don’t think they’ll pick up his fifth-year option. Just wouldn’t make any sense to fully guarantee his contract next year given his lack of production thus far. He’s been a good run defender, but he hasn’t shown more than occasional flashes as a pass rusher. They’d really be banking on a breakout this season if they picked it up.

I think Jalen Carter is the higher priority. He’ll no doubt get a big extension next year, maybe Nolan Smith will get one too. The organization’s whole messaging this offseason has been about shedding and saving cash for future contracts. One of the best reporters I listen to puts it well when he says that the Eagles will pay “A” players, but are willing to let those “B” or “C” players walk and get paid elsewhere.

I can’t imagine they go out of their way to keep Davis around with extensions for Carter and possibly Smith on the horizon, not to mention Mitchell and DeJean eventually. Maybe they work out a one- or two-year extension with Davis before other contracts on the roster balloon, but I think this year could/will be it for him.

 

Bad QB class is making people act insane. Between Shough, Milroe and Dart it’s a little out of whack.

 

they picked Patrick Paul in the 2nd round last year and when he had to play he looked...at least okay.

They need another guard. They signed James Daniels who is good, but they brought that football terrorist Liam Eich back and as of now I guess he is a by default starter. But there is obviously no guard worthy of being picked at 13

at DT they have Zach Sieler who is great, Benito Jones who is a JAG, and literally no one else lol but the problem is, 13 is kind of a bad spot for DT. I would bet they double up there in the mid rounds though.

At this point if I had to guess, assuming Tyreek is NOT traded, is that their pick will be Will Johnson or Jahdae Barron

 

Which is why I’d be cool with DT high in the draft. Could move on from Davis by this time next year, plus Ojomo is still a bit of a question mark. The beat reporters I listen to have said the coaching staff loves Ojomo and he showed some flashes so I’m expecting him to fill Milton Williams’ shoes more than Davis, but next year will be a contract year for him too. Gotta balance out the inevitable big extension Carter will get with some rookie contracts around him.

 

Jake Bailey was an All Pro a few years ago and he is technically still on the roster even though they signed Ryan Stonehouse lmao watch it be a punter trade for like a 2028 7th

Ah, I forgot about Patrick Paul. I remember they gave Austin Jackson an extension not long ago so I figured they were at least seemingly okay on one side.

I used to hate Austin Jackson but he is actually a solid player and signed a reasonable contract

the problem is, like most of our roster, he is injured every year
