I'm going to preface this by saying that art is subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion so we don't have a repeat of earlier





....But I feel like I must be listening to an entirely different album than you lol. It's easily their best work post-reunion imo and contains elements of TOCS, DTGL, and LSOS, while feeling new at the same time. Lyrically some of it is a little rough but overall it's a very solid Underoath album

 

I’m a bad underoath fan because I LOVED they’re only chasing but I don’t actually enjoy anything else too much

The last underoath song I heard was On My Teeth which was fine. I just don’t listen to much heavy stuff anymore

I was 18 i was only listening to oasis and pearl jam

 

I don't listen to much heavy stuff anymore either, but there's a handful of the myspace era bands that are still making music these days that I'll always check out their new releases, Underoath being one of them. I find myself mostly listening to indie or pop if it's a new artist.

 

I assure you, both of my children shit on the main stage lol

In terms of newer heavy bands though, Spiritbox fucking rips on their new album

 

the new Bleed album is gonna rule if the singles are any indication. pigs x7 too if you want sabbath worship. overall been a week year so far for heavy stuff though outside of deafheaven

 

Another one I’ve tried to get into because I hear everyone say good things. I like the heavier parts but not the rest.

 

Hasn’t started yet. My life is chaotic enough as is haha

 

about a month and a half out from getting my stitches removed, still having some issues with stuff like zippers and dog leash removal. hopeful its just still healing and not like lingering muscle/nerve stuff. probably will give it another month and if it's still lingering go in somewhere to get it examined

 

This is crazy to me lol I wish Courtney would do a side project and explore the more industrial/pop thing some of their songs have going on
