    Yall I made a big mistake today lmao. Two almost identical listings in our wine book- both 2022 Pinot Noirs from Sonoma County.

    The only difference is one is listed as Sonoma COAST and they’re divided into different categories for some reason?!?! And because they’re divided into different categories they’re also in different spots of the wine cellar so that makes it hard to know the Sonoma Coast one even exists if you are looking for a Sonoma County Pinot.

    the wine on the left is $65.

    the wine on the right… is $180 and that was the bottle I gave to the table. *FACEPALM*

    Lead sommelier warns me all the time about making that mistake and I usually don’t but this time I was kinda rushing cause he’s on vacation so I’m the main wine guy for EVERY table right now. I had just gotten back from finding a wine that wasn’t in a location / didn’t have a bin number I recognized and was trying to get the next table their wine ASAP before the meals arrived. When you rush you fuck up, womp womp, had to learn this lesson the hard way once lol
