My car’s lease is up in December and I’m planning to buy it out because the buyout cost vs price of replacement is waaaaaaaay cheaper.

So naturally the dealership won’t stop calling me to trade it in early for a new lease because they want it back lol

i went through this in 2022, my car was a lease and was also a discontinued very popular color and due to covid had like 10k+ less miles on it than should be so they were foaming at the mouth to get it back from me, but i kept telling them to make me a good offer on a replacement and they were just expecting me to hook them up with a good car they can sell and take nothing in return lmao

i bought it out because the price to buy a new car was like $15k more. insanity. car salespeople are criminals and should be tried as such.

 

Ugh that’s so lame & it’s so frustrating.

This exact thing just happened with my wife’s sister. She barely drove it during covid so it had a ridiculously low amount of miles on it and they were going through HOOOPS to make the buyout process hard for her just so they could get it back

Y'all should try not leasing cars. Maybe that's the problem. Waste of money

I really had no major issue with leasing a car because the monthly payment for the last 8-9 years has been extremely affordable and it was nice to not have to deal with the bullshit of my past unreliable used cars.

But since the price of any car has skyrocketed in the last few years, I will just buy this out one and ride it into the ground
