I’m just going to say he had 9 touchdowns and less than 500 yards on 32/60 targets

 

It’s not even about the touchdowns or what he can bring as a receiver for me, though I’m sure it’ll help to have a receiver with a different build in that room.

It’s more what he can bring as a physical player in the run game. From what I understand, he’s a capable blocker and his physical stature means he can play the X receiver position for them so they can move Waddle and whoever else around in the formation. I always hear about how Shanahan guys need that physical receiver (think Juaun Jennings) to carve out a niche for themselves in their schemes. I think he can provide that for the Dolphins

 

Like, there’s no way he’s higher than fourth in the pecking order for targets with Hill, Waddle, and Jonnu in front of him so I don’t think it matters what he brings as a receiver. He needs to contribute in other ways to make his presence felt

It’s what I hope Johnny Wilson can do for the Eagles. Doesn’t matter what I or anyone else has thought about Jahan Dotson as a receiver. If Hurts isn’t throwing him the ball, he’s not threatening the defense with speed, and he’s not a positive blocker in the run game, then what’s he doing on the field?
