Also, hanging out with them, and for the first time with @David- , was great! Can’t wait to come back to Dallas. We also had Torchy’s tacos last night, that and Chiloso make me feel ashamed of Chipotle being a thing for me lol. The shrimp taco at Torchy’s is BANGIN and their corn tortillas are elite for a fast casual spot. Dustin and I ordered chilaquiles for brunch this morning as well

We got invited to book a “punks and painters” event later on in Dallas’s artsy neighborhood (Deep Ellum) which I’m sure will draw better than a brewery on a Tuesday, that’ll probably be on either our 2026 SXSW run or later this Fall if we can somehow get on Fest

 

I’m the opposite. 0 fear of flying but terrified of going to space haha.

A lot of that is just knowing my stomach does not handle G forces well and knowing I’d feel like I’m on a roller coaster I can’t get off,

also knowing how much can go horribly wrong & you could either get trapped in a huge on-shuttle fire, or miss your fuel refill, or lose communication, or fall out of orbit and just be stranded out there with limited food and oxygen

if an astronaut dies it’s usually an awful death haha

I have been encouraged not to "abuse the reporting system" so I guess i'll just say on the record that Sean should be reported for his flagrant wholly unnecessary attack on a perfectly good type of cuisine.

Wasn’t our cleanest show but I thought this clip turned out great

 

is it just you and your drummer? no bass?

 

For now yeah. We had bassists interested in playing with us locally but the ones available for tour charged a higher rate than we can pay right now. That should all change when the album is out & it’s much easier to advertise to musicians we don’t already know who play our style of music

 

Wish the last bassist didn’t leave the band but it wasn’t a perfect working relationship we had different approaches

 

But very often we get the compliment that it’s surprising we’re only two people cause our live sound is still pretty big and detailed. Jared is an exceptional drummer who can do a lot more for the song than just keep a beat & my two amp + effects pedal setup does a good job at making my guitar sound pro

I have no idea how booking shit works lol but this is a fun fest in Philly that highlights 2 piece bands. Just happened in Philly the other month with Origami Angel headlining. P sure it’s a yearly fest/show
