Forgot to share this earlier, but we think we found what's causing Olivia's persistent health issues finally. She has something called superficial venous insufficiency after she got another ultrasound on her legs. He basically said reflux of the small veins in her lower legs. Right now she's just doing some compression socks and she's going to meet with vascular for other potential treatment options but she's already feeling like the socks are working. Any time she wore actual shoes for an extended period of time her feet would get tomato red and slightly swollen and very sore, and only elevation would alleviate it. A huge relief that we have some sort of answer. Going to all of these appointments and basically being shrugged at has really fucking sucked and has been really stressful. Olivia is a fucking rockstar and I just want her to feel better.

Cannot imagine how insufferable and taxing it is to go to appointment after appointment and ride the rollercoaster of “what could it be?” or “I hope it’s not {insert whatever bad thing you googled}” and never get answers. Glad to hear the positive update!

thanks man. it felt like the more information we came with the less helpful they were too. my wife was very diligent about documenting her symptoms and it felt like some doctors didn't really know what to do with that. it was interesting.

 

Stoked for you guys. Beads had a similar thing when we first started dating where she was having stomach issues and they couldn’t figure out why. Just getting an answer was such a relief even before tackling a solve.
