In my day we just enjoyed the sunset instead of selling it

 

I bought a bag of candy just in case someone comes since last year no one came in to my neighborhood

this year we’ve had like 5 visitors so I’ll take it

 

We got slammed this year. Way overbought stuff to grill and almost went through it all. Met our newer neighbors behind us and found out they lived the same neighborhood as us in Dallas while we lived there. Small world and we exchanged numbers so maybe some new friends. Everyone was super nice and it was really cool to do it big and meet a bunch of people tonight in our community. Last couple of year were rough so it’s cool to get a win like this.

When the kids want more hot dogs and I can’t grill them fast enough:

Think this was the least amount of trick or treaters we’ve ever had. We live in the burbs with plenty of kids in the neighborhood but we’re also in like the very back of the neighborhood so it’s weird. We didn’t even buy that much candy because we don’t usually get a lot of kids but even still we have too much

 

having a few small beers and watching major league baseball

 

This was easily the busiest year I’ve encountered as a homeowner (7ish years). Surprisingly a lot of older kids this year too

My wife decided this year she wanted to put weird shit in the cauldron with the candy just to see what happens and one of those items were potatoes and for some fucking reason the kids loved it. We didn’t expect anyone to take any, just thought it would be funny to see reactions. They took them all (10lbs) lmao

 

We had a slew of trick or treaters for the first time in my life. Glad I sprung for the full size candy bars.
