Damn, If I Had Legs isn’t showing anywhere near me for the next 2 weeks. Definitely want to see how Conan does in his first serious role.

 

If I had Legs is only playing in the afternoons around here right now. hope it gets some evening showings soon. cant just leave work to see a movie, you know!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

oh shit Frankenstein is playing here starting this weekend just not an AMC

 

weapons is finally on streaming so I'll probably watch that within the next few weeks

 

I will see Wicked For Good in theaters tho

 

I just wish movies had a better shot of generating buzz outside of the obvious blockbusters. It's sucky you can only keep up with things if you actively devote the time and effort into it

I think for me I just don't care that much about the movie theater experience anymore - like objectively yeah it's better than just watching it at home but eh

 

My brother went to an early screening of Bugonia last night and said it was easily one of his favorite movies of the year, if that helps anyone.

I agree it does suck that movies aren’t as ubiquitous culturally anymore, which is why we’re seeing things become a bit more eventized (Barbenheimer, these anime movies, Christopher Nolan movies) etc

I'm less talking about going to the theater or not, and more talking about like...i just never know what to be watching because very few things outside of the obvious ones generate any real buzz and i don't hear about them.

Like i'm gonna try and watch Weapons this week because i've heard it's really good from a handful of people.

 

Midsommar is a movie I did see in theaters twice P.I.

 

Yeah I get *most* complaints/reasoning for it, especially if you have small children

I do love having subtitles on while watching tv but i still love getting to the theater when i can.

 

Like most hobbies you do have to put in individual effort yeah lol

Movie culture is something I want to take part in. I want to be current on things. TV is TV and movies are movies and I can watch and listen to those things later. I hate having to wait to see something at home

 

I can hit a 10:30 showing of Frankenstein Saturday or Sunday. That’s beautiful. I want to see a dark gothic looking movie in a black room for 2.5 hours then walk out into sunlight. Give me that.
