It’s interesting to me that Barnes and noble has stuck around and is always busy. You can get books so much cheaper online.

 

if that means taking a dump there then yes

 

Maybe it’s due to them selling way more than books these days and/or people intentionally bucking the online shopping? Idk, good thought though

 

I like to browse Barnes and nobles before I go to the cinema sometimes but I never buy anything.

 

part of it has to be them just always staying in their one lane. i feel like part of the problem with best buy which feels like a similar comp is they tried to start selling everything there so people stopped going to them for the one thing they were good at selling

that and the book industry is still alive and music is dead as hell

barnes & noble is closing a lot of larger footprint stores and moving to smaller locations but the physical stores are doing as good as ever business wise.

 

Helps that B&N can add in a cafe element and it makes sense where like a Best Buy could never
