a giants beat writer was on WFAN while i was driving back to work and they were asking him about jameis and i gathered the following;

- Jameis was brought in before they knew how the draft would go, the plan was to go into the season Russ QB1 and Jameis QB2
- once they drafted Dart, everyone in the org. who makes decisions knew Jameis was never going to see the field unless there was some insane amount of injuries
- Russ is the back up to Dart, Jameis is still QB3, but this writer says even though Russ is 'taking it well', he thinks within a few weeks he either asks for his release or is traded out right somewhere, so it sounds like by the end of the season Jameis will at least be QB2

 

Who in their right mind would trade for Russ
