To my dearest online acquaintances and other posters of the NFL Thread,

As you well know, I have threatened to leave for about as long as I've posted. I've had some personal shit going on lately and have been purposely extending my breaks for longer and longer for awhile (don't worry. I'm not dying or getting divorced; I'm not MURPH, lmao [someone redact this when we're no longer allowed to make these jokes]).

Pat and Dave were correct to note the ghost avatar as a sign, although I certainly wasn't banned, Patrick! What in the world would I have been banned for?? I'm one of the best posters on the site and a Yankees fan to boot! I'm also not mad at anyone. At least not that I can think of. Give it some time and I can probably blame Murph or Josh somehow.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm fairly confident that the time has come. Will my final post be my final post? Probably not. But it's probably the last one for a while. I always thought I would go out with a final "I'm leaving" bit, but alas.....here we are.

The haters are rejoicing in the streets. Murph, Dustin, Patrick, Dave, and Josh are sobbing in the alleys. I can only assume that Flood has already passed on from grief.

It didn't feel right to leave without saying goodbye in some way, though. Thanks for all the laughs. It was nearly always a good time. I'll miss you all. I may still lurk from afar from time to time, so please don't talk about football. And who knows...maybe someday I'll show back up.
