One disappointing thing about our defense though - I expect Tyson Campbell to get beat by Chase but he also got big-dawged multiple times by Tee Higgins as well. He was there, got his hand on the ball, but much like my issues with him in college, he was a magnet for the opposing WR just dominating at the catch point despite tight coverage. Campbell has been better at that in stretches of his NFL career, and he does have great technique and doesn’t play soft, but he keeps getting hurt and regressing a bit and that’s really holding him back from being a true CB1. I like him more as an upside CB2 who’s sometimes a second CB1 for you when he’s hot / in a rhythm and can step up admirably when your best guy’s injured.

This plus the two BEAUTIFUL PBUs Travis had in the game just *cements* my mindset that he’s a “special, rare ability” corner versus more just a “solid potential” receiver, we are wasting his best talentt if we only sparingly use him at CB, and it would be the glue that held our mostly talented defense together on difficult third downs against good QBs…
meanwhile he’s not moving the needle much yet at WR.

What time are we playing CFB?

 

That's a good question, it probably depends on what we do for dinner tonight but I'm somewhat flexible. I'm off work at 5, and I water the lawn right after (there is a LOT of watering involved in a new lawn it turns out) then I'll be in to figure out dinner but if dinner is something that takes a while I can play right then. So probably like starting sometime between 545-630 (all central)
