After my shows in Cincy and Akron I stayed an extra day out to go see my favorite DIY band Lung in Cleveland, partially because they’re sick but also partially to return the favor to their drummer who always books me in Cincy.

1) I’ve seen / played shows with them a total of like 7 times and that was the best performance
2) got one of the last copies of their new record on vinyl and it’s so different from their others
3) got an hour set cause the venue weirdly wanted only two bands and wanted them to play longer (this was the reason Daisy couldn’t get me on the bill as the opener but i quite enjoyed getting to hear some old hits as a fan of them)
4) spent a whole afternoon at Cuyahoga Valley national park beforehand including one of its best hikes, and watched sunset from a rocky overlook of the forest
5) found a Ramada Inn for $47 in Harrisburg so I didn’t have to drive all the way back in one night. The breakfast in the morning and hitting the indoor pool and hot tub before I left was sublime

I’m running on about 20 hours of sleep the last four days and I came straight back to work this morning lol. Gonna sleep so good tonight.
