So it is okay story-wise, you shouldn't have any problems with keeping up with what's going on in Silksong if you haven't played the original. But it is a VERY hard game and being able to play and beat the first game will likely help you in that regard but that doesn't mean it's undoable. Just expect that it may be hard for you in some ways.

 

It is way harder than the original, story wise it probably wouldn’t matter to much but I would still recommend the first one played first just to see if it’s for you before you jump into the new one
