I feel like I'm going insane. I dropped my car off last Tuesday and didn't hear anything all week, so I called last Friday just to see if they've even looked at it yet. The office person said my service advisor was out that Thursday, and had to leave early on Friday and to call back again on Monday. Yeah I get it shit happens and people have things to take care of, all good.

It's now Monday and I called around 9am and the office person said my service advisor stepped away from their desk and they sent them a message to call me. 4 hours later I still haven't heard anything so I call again asking if there's someone else I can talk to, I mostly just want to know if they've even looked at my car yet. I said understand repairs take time, but again, I just want to know if it's even been looked at yet as I'm kind of on a deadline, the at-fault drivers insurance company will only cover a rental for a finite amount of time. The office person tells me they'll have the manager call me back. It's now been 2 hours since then and still no word.

The shop is only 2 mins away from my house and I don't want to be that crazy person but if I don't hear anything by the end of the day I'm going to stop in tomorrow on my way to work and tell them I need to speak to someone right now. I feel like a week is more than enough time to tell me if they've even LOOKED at it to determine whether it's a total loss or not. With the federal EV credits ending at the end of September I'm racing against the clock if I have to get another fucking car if they decide to total it. I don't think I'm being unreasonable that I should know what the prognosis is after a week of being at the fucking shop. I fully understand it wouldn't be ready yet and that's not my expectation but it should be pretty easy to tell me what's going on at this point.

I've kinda found that I only like old jazzy Tom Waits and found that his more experimental stuff I'm very lukewarm on

 

Everything through Small Change I absolutely adore and make him one of the most important artists in my life of consuming music and then everything after that I'm like yeah I guess idk, some hits some misses

 

I'm nearing the end and so far I've only liked "Tango Till They're Sore" and "Union Square," the latter is on now and I actually like it a lot

 

I made a track on my MPC that samples "Drunk On The Moon" and it sounds like a DJ Premier track and I will hopefully sell it someday for $10
