I get what you’re saying but it’s making a point I don’t care about at all. It’s not a good thing to me to stay in one genre. It makes someone a better writer in my mind if they manage to successfully branch out over their career and still make music a LOT of people think is good, not a worse one

i would say that album is the peak of their popularity. they have not continued to get more popular lol. mostly because the albums they followed it with are by and large considered their worst in over 20 years and they rarely tour

 

I’m sure she’s lovely! I just think Inception is good and I’m unsure why there is hate for it. I think at its baseline it’s an enjoyable film.

 

Its fun and good but also hijacked by the undesirables (mentally college aged white men) so I fully understand avoiding it lol

 

again, as i’ve said, i like radiohead. randall is doing exactly what ive said all insufferable radiohead fans do though.

they’re a very good band. they aren’t head and shoulders above most other bands though and certainly not oasis because they made music that is jingling keys for people who are the living embodiment of the college dorm hits blunt once meme

 

I do not like inception because most of what happens is exposition and the characters explaining what is happening while we are watching it and if you think the audience is too dumb to understand your movie do a better job at writing it. Just my opinion.

Re: this debate, I also don't think it's required for a band to "evolve" or change sounds over time, you're allowed to just make good songs if you want. You're allowed to prefer the constant change or prefer a specific sound but either way, if the songs are good who cares at the end of the day. I don't think Radiohead "had to" change sounds if they didn't want to and I don't think Oasis "can't evolve" just because they kept doing what they were doing

I like Radiohead and I don't really like Oasis but like idk I don't see the big deal
