lmao, I talked to my coworker who's leaving the company and basically found out my manager is on the hot seat and that the managers who have been leaving lately are leaving mostly or partially because of her. My coworker said she doesn't respect her which is crazy. My managers boss also left recently and the woman who took over his role has had issues with my manager and basically said absolutely not to having my manager report into her. So now the CCO is making her report directly to her to keep an eye on her. I think that if you've gotten to that point, you're cooked. Just super frustrating because her lack of managerial ability, organization, knowledge, guidance, whatever, is now potentially impacting my future livelihood and others. Thankfully it seems that leadership is sympathetic to the fact that we aren't getting stuff done and can't show our value because our boss likes to use buzzwords, take credit for stuff, and build a million slide decks while not working with our stakeholders. I did hear though that another leader under our org said she wants me on her team that actually has an analytics team, so that was nice. I'm just feeling uneasy again and am going to start looking. Not worth it anymore. My life has opened back up so much this year after living in hell for the previous 4-5 years, I'm not going to let a job ruin that for me. Just sucks the market is so fucking bad. If I've been testy around here lately, that's probably why, and I apologize. /trauma dump
Oh my gosh....wait til you guys hear this....I just talked to my coworker who's leaving the company and basically found out my manager is on the hot seat and that the managers who have been leaving lately are leaving mostly or partially because of her. Was going to make a joke about this being the Max post again but figured this is not the time so want to say that sucks and I'm sorry. The market really is terrible right now and it makes any amount of uncertainty terrifying
I'm over here trying to have a serious moment and Mark decides to practice his low effort posting. smh my damn head
I disagree. Also, I was just trying to make a funny and barely skimmed that. If @tvck is in danger of losing his job, I apologize because obviously that sucks and I hope things work out
haha nah you're fine, I'm just messing with you. I don't think I'm in any immediate danger but when a manager can't show the value our team brings to the business because we're brand new (within the last year), that's when some decisions start getting made, especially with basically all new executive leadership. Just feels uneasy and like I don't have firm footing right now, especially after being laid off already this year.
