that's when you start throwing hands man. the fact that people talk to others like that in an office setting is wild.
I would agree with Sean that you have to pay attention to it. I don't love that show, but by far the best thing it has going for it are the performances.
Hope everybody's doing well in here. Been a busy couple days. I'm not sure if I've mentioned before that I technically support two different companies under the umbrella of the parent company. Anyways, the two companies share an office suite together, and each company pays a portion of the lease based on how many offices and cubicles they occupy. There's an office next to mine that has been vacant for about 10 months, the person who worked in that office left, and that space was being paid for by company B. Company A has a lot more employees and employees who are remote, so for the past 10 months those visitors have been working out of this vacant office which hasn't been a problem because no one is using it. The President of company B emailed me Tuesday morning that they're subletting this vacant office (that they pay for) to an outside consultant and to please remove everything IT-wise from that office so this person can use it. We did that and the new person moved in later that day. Yesterday, there was a group of people from company A in that office in that office so I said "hey sorry to interrupt, but company B is now using this office again for an external consultant so unfortunately we can't use it anymore," and everything was fine, or so I thought. About 30 minutes later one of the people that was in that office comes to talk to me and says "I know this probably wasn't your intention but don't ever fucking embarrass me like that again. We were in there with an owner (I work in hospitality so he's referring to a hotel owner), and once you left the owner threw a big fit and said I can't believe you let them talk to you like that." He goes on to say super passive aggressively "don't lose sleep over it, but again, don't ever embarrass me like that again." So I'm just sitting there saying sorry I obviously didn't intend to embarrass you or anything like that and I didn't know that was an owner you were talking to, I'm just relaying the message from company B that company A can't use that office anymore. The thing that's funny to me is if that owner truly had that reaction, fuck that rich, entitled piece of shit. The guy looked about my age, possibly even younger, so I'm just assuming that he's some trust fund brat who's making the world a terrible place. What's even funnier is that later on that day, they were having some issues with some AV stuff in a conference room so I went in to help and that same owner is in the room, everyone else acknowledges me and says hello and whatnot but that little bitch baby didn't even look up at me or say anything when I left.
Mark I actually read that post and if someone freaked out on me like that I’d struggle holding my laughter
