Maureen was a giant pain in my ass when we were in the office. I showed her every day how to attach a file to an email. One year for Fourth of July pot lock or something she wrote down “crock pot of hot dogs” and sure enough she showed up with a crock pot full of hot dogs.
Really rough time lately. Had to email someone's boss today that is absolutely computer illiterate. My tech has spent like 6 hours working with this person (Maureen) on some pretty fucking basic things, like how to save a document, how to attach a file to an email, how to change their password. My tech has gone through the steps over and over again with this person and always ends it with "ok I get it now," and still.. just doesn't. I emailed their boss and was like hey I think Maureen could use some computer training, something is clearly not clicking, and it hasn't been a good use of anyone's time that my tech has spent 6 hours working with this guy." I feel bad because she's super nice, even brought a crock pot of hot dogs to the company picnic on Halloween last year, but a complete nightmare technologically. We'll see what happens
Seriously, though. I have been pretty down lately and I do not like it. Whatever. Going back to work. Hope everyone has a good holiday if I don't come back.
