Exactly the feelings I have from: -My old boss at the Pendry being fired mere months after she fired me for… holding my coworkers accountable for not doing their jobs -the next restaurant that fired me over a lying customer review / blaming me for a dismissive rude thing the manager said not me… getting dropped from their parent company and then closing down a few months later -me now working at the best restaurant in Baltimore, making more than I made at either previous spot, and developing a career as a Somm + being trusted to serve VIPs and (ironically) hold my coworkers accountable + never getting a single bad review Can safely and confidently say now that those other jobs fucked up and fumbled the bag
Given my current state and the seats in that room I don’t think I’ll be able to see The Shining in imax tomorrow Might go see Ella McCay in a theater with recliners
I still hope not but we’ll see I guess. It’s gotten better but still hurts, I’ve got the shooting/aching leg pain and stiffness in my back. Can hardly stand up straight. When this happened last time it took maybe 2ish months to be relatively normal? I saw a surgeon 3 months after the initial incident and I was fine enough that he said he wouldn’t recommend surgery just have to take it relatively easy aside from physical therapy
I think I’ll try to be back in office on Monday, since work is slowing down I’ll have one of my guys there helping me out all week
“Severely extruding disc” near my tailbone that’s pinching a nerve. Don’t think it was any one single incident that caused it, just a combination of physical labor/being overweight/ not taking good care of myself
