Maybe I'm just a total cynic but I'm just in the camp that like, this is a generally conservative sport and expecting people who play it to be good people is going to result in being very let down It becomes more of a pleasant surprise when someone actually is good rather than being shocked Doesn't make any of the behavior okay or anything but I guess I just expect it
I agree re: expectations of players but the “this is not reflective of my beliefs” is bullshit, he didn’t think twice about saying it casually lol
Oh yeah for sure, like at the very least he's okay with homophobic jokes/comments even if he doesn't necessarily directly hate the LGBTQ community or anything and that is a form of hate
A lot of times if you throw out something like that it's because you've very comfortably thrown it out a lot before
I think it’s more likely just casual ingrained homophobia and yes it’s more likely than not in his private life he has some shitty beliefs. I’m not saying he should be banned from the nfl, just saying that he’s a fucking loser
And yeah I am not executing Bijan or anything I have his jersey in my closet and have rooted for him a LOT and will continue to do so as a player
feel like bijan is just uneducated on the sentiment of the word because the yes men in his life don't criticize him for anything, guy is an absolute idiot but I don't think he is homophobic
