Was looking at a listing of a house that was sitting for 40 days in a nice town. Decided to take a look into pricing history. Ahhh there it is. House was bought in August for 479k and someone flipped it in 2 months and tried selling it for 650k, using the most obvious and predictable flip tactics of white ikea kitchen, cheap flooring, white paint, and didn't touch the roof or heating. House flippers deserve max jail time for destroying the housing market and being bad people who deserve nothing
I know I watch a ton of movies but someone listing 200 records for EOTY is insane to me. How can you properly listen to and rate 200 records?
i believe there are people who can, but i also believe 80% of people who do this are just posting for clout. it's not impressive that you listen to that much music lol
I guess - while I never posted a top 200 list because that is insane - when I worked at spin media and was editing AP.net I was listening to music probably 12-14 hours of the day it's possible but not recommended lol
like, watching 200 movies in a year is, in theory, a very easy thing to do. listening to 200 albums enough to be able to actually rank them against the others feels, extraordinarily hard if not downright impossible. and yet
yeah I guess some people can listen to an album once and have a definite opinion on it, I need at least 3 listens. Also if something is ranked 100 did I actually enjoy that album? Why even include that?

Like coming across something and being like “nah not my thing” is one thing that’s a pretty quick decision. But if it’s an album you went outta your way to listen to or are listening cause friends recommended etc, give it a real shot haha
Whenever I tell people my first name (especially over the phone) it’s a 50/50 chance they think I said “Matt” or “Mac” so I’ve just gotten to the point where I spell out M-A-X and they probably think I think they’re an idiot that can’t spell a three letter word lmao
I’ve certainly listened to more than 200 albums this year but only like 80 from this year, low for me I think I’m closing the year between 175-180 movies with like 60 from this year
I do this with my last name. Which is obviously an obnoxious last name that I didn't pick. But I'll say "Shoenberger, S-H-O", because folks always assume it should be S-C-H-O... which it should be, but some relative down the line thought we should drop the C to make it look more American or something.
Also, my first name is Jordan, and the number of people who spell is "Jordon" with an O is astounding.
