I do also think that like, starting the older QB immediately when your other guys are hurt is a quick way to end up exactly back where you started re: injuries. But I do think it's possible he gets elevated out of PS but I'd bet Rypien does first to be as safe as possible + protect Rivers' HOF timing + help him get back up to speed first + all the other things mentioned and that in reality he is the big red button But also no one is immune to injuries so maybe Rypien gets them back to this situation anyway and it doesn't matter and they can start Rivers, idk I don't think Warren takes any snaps at QB at all unless Rypien and Leonard are both hurt during a game and Rivers is still on PS
Colts still have a shot technically at making the playoffs/winning the division so that to me makes me think Rivers is their last hope. And that they'll do whatever it takes I guess.
yeah i mean theyre officially in the **worst** position. their season that had huge aspirations is now verging on being in the toilet and they sold their souls for sauce fucking gardner whos already hurt and they'll have no draft capital to trade up to get a QB when they inevitably end up with like the 12th pick in the draft. they need to try and win a super bowl this year, as laughable and insane as it sounds right this moment.
oh yeah the Colts are so fucked for the future. But your last sentence is why they're going all in with Rivers.
Seahawks, Niners, Jags, Texans. It will not be easy for them, but can it happen?????????????????????????
I think that might have been THE game to officially end the "I bet I could make a pass in the NFL" jokes
I wonder if there's ever been a moment when the QB is trying to snap the ball but his voice cracks and everyone laughs at him
