Not that I'd describe Fear Before as metalcore by any means, but they'd play with with some of 'em. Denver had a really good local metalcore/post-hardcore scene in the early 2000's, kinda wild that only 2 bands (Fear Before and Drop Dead) really made it national/international
fear before and fall of troy are both in the same space to me where they're basically metalcore bc there isn't another easy box to fit them in
Saw them a few times. Such a great show too. Art Damage is my favorite but TAOM is S tier for the scene.
i liked btbam most but they're tough to defend now and i don't really listen to that kind of music besides converge and cave in anymore anyways
Did anyone like Eighteen Visions? They played with Fear Before and I was shocked at how shitty they were for being high praised.
I saw Fear Before circa 2006 and the singer got hit in the face by the bassist's headstock and they had to stop the show for like twenty minutes. Some assholes were booing and then the singer eventually got up and started cussing out the crowd. Good times
Also, saw Fall of Troy with early Portugal. the Man opening and had a pit open up on me during laces out Dan. Great memory. Early PTM was so good too
If I remember right I think one of the tuning pegs went through the side of his mouth. Not sure if it was the same show or maybe a different one
