not to kill the thread but definitely want to apologize if I've been snippy or weird the last week (I'm not sure if I have here but I have been in general). Work has completely kicked my ass this week and I'm so ready to leave. Just in general have been really fucking stressed and I'm over it. Former coworker who was laid off when I was earlier this year called me yesterday about an opportunity to be the first data analyst for a company out of Austin on a data team he's building, but it's a really small company (like 90 people I think he said) who does music/sound stuff for churches. Great opportunity to dictate how things go and build from the ground up (great resume builder and uses a tech stack I like and am used to but can still grow in the skills required) but they most certainly won't be able to pay me what I'd ask for and I'm not a church guy lmao. Going to take the call regardless but eh.
I didn't mean to cause any problems on the chorus fantasy league. feel kinda bad recommending top 6 but people could've said no!
Had an appointment for 12/18, called this morning to see about a walk in and they said yeah 9:40, got here and there’s no appointment for me for 9:40, turned out the person I spoke to just changed my appointment to 9:40 on 12/18 for some fucking reason but a different doctor had availability at 10:20 today. Meanwhile I’m crying in the reception area barely able to stand
I’ve never taken any kind of strong pain medicine in my life but I think that’s what I need. Aleve and super ibuprofen aren’t cutting it. I can’t do stretches and move around to improve myself when I’m in so much pain
I threw my back out really bad like 12 years ago and they gave me Percocet and a muscle relaxer. The muscle relaxer definitely helped but the Percocet made me a huge asshole. either way though I wasn't having to deal with the pain much while on it.
Is this something, assuming you can do it, that PT will fix? Or is it getting towards a surgical area at this point?
Don't worry, Murph. I'll always stand on the side of those who think LOST is a great show. Flood can pound sand
I’ve had a muscle relaxer too (flexoril or something) and the er doctor yesterday prescribed a different one but haven’t been able to get it from the pharmacy yet
I've had to be on muscle relaxers and pain killers before. Thought it was fun as fuuuuuuuuuuck. Became very obvious how people get addicted to Oxy to me.
Heading up to the white mountains this weekend and low for tonight is -4 degrees lol I don’t know if the outdoor hot tub will happen or not
When it happened last year it was bad but I slowly recovered and was able to do PT, talked to a surgeon about surgery and he said no I think this is getting better already. Have had no major issues since then (like 18 months) until now and this is so so much worse
Josh, I hope your back gets better and they give you something for the pain/that makes you want to get addicted to Oxy, but that you overcome the temptation and just get better.
