Servers need to understand that even if you’re busy, trying to hide from a table until you’re “ready” for them only makes it worse. Communication is so key. Just dropping by to say “hi, welcome! I’ll be right with you, here is our drink menu, would you like to start with a cocktail or something simple like bread before I come back?” Takes 30 seconds and makes people way more patient when they feel acknowledged
God I wish. If they interviewed me I 100% would’ve name dropped my band lmao. But it is pretty flattering that they said “we need photos of someone pouring wine” and all the marketing staff said “RANDALL!” instead of the lead sommelier lol
I have been here a lot longer and I did just serve the whole marketing team (it was my 16 person table on Tuesday). You’re also not gonna find my name in a single bad review, only good ones
