y'all last night we went to our daughter's first dance 'recital.' I put it in quotes because it was like 200 kids ages 2-15/16? doing a bunch of little dances to Frozen songs. They had to get all dressed up and have their makeup done which my wife was stressing about because the hair tutorial was like an hour long video and the makeup needed to match precisely but also they recommended using Mary Kay which by the way the teacher sells. we said hell no to the Mary Kay thing and my wife had to hunt down all the similar colored makeup and then spent like 30 minutes doing our daughter's hair. Then we drove 40 minutes to the high school where the event is and my wife is talking with another mom about how she was so stressed about the hair and makeup. Meanwhile the other mom is like oh the makeup thing doesn't matter at all while another mom didn't even do her daughter's makeup so my wife stressed and hunted down all the makeup for nothing. anyways the thing starts and there are like, 25 different routines all separated by age groups. Our daughter is only in 2 of them. We have no idea where she's gonna be on stage. First routine she's on the far left (we're seated on the far right, of course) and we can hardly see her behind a tall girl in the front who had to be at least 12. So that one was a wash. Then the second routine has much less dancers (again she's 3 so there's not much actual dancing) so we figure we'd be able to see her better this time. The routine starts and we can't find her until halfway through and she's way in the back. You're not supposed to film but my wife did anyways. We were stoked to get a partial video but after watching it several times we realized it wasn't even our daughter. We took a video of someone else's kid. Our daughter was completely obscured behind a big stupid Elsa inflatable which for some reason blocked part of the stage on the right, directly in our line of sight. We couldn't tell it wasn't our daughter because the makeup and hair and lighting made it nearly impossible to discern who was who. So we drove 40 minutes to go to a 2.5 hour event in which our daughter danced for a total of maybe 4 minutes and of that we only saw her for maybe half that. Also the costume cost $165. The good news is that there is another recital in May so we get to do it again!!!!!!!!!
yeah but you looked it up because you Do Not Like when people accuse the pats of playing to an easy schedule lol
I would bet that Dustin is VERY good, I’ve only heard little clips but I can just tell by how he talks about it that he has the level of detail necessary to be an awesome musician
one of my friend's wives is the head of a dance school and she works her ass off but yeah it seems like a money pit lol
dance recitals are my personal hell used to have to go to my sister's every July in some rinky dink HS gym that had no AC
lol they are playing an easy schedule. I’ve said it a billion times. I literally said I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost to the giants of all teams.
I would’ve been surprised. For once I didn’t even turn the game on lol. “Giants without Skattebo against Patriots? Nah I’d like to actually get good use of my time tonight”
