I have not but will purchase a ticket when he finally comes to Philly. I did hear some of the new album
Also I guess to clarify I didn’t go out of my way to play it for her, it was playing at the mall yesterday and she kept asking to hear it again. She’s two. It is easier to just say yes and not try to explain to her that she should be listening to motion city soundtrack or what the fuck ever instead
I remember the first day I watched kpop demon hunter and I was like nice what a great movie I didn’t realize it will become this cultural phenomenon
We are not known for choruses, but a repetitive chorus isn’t the only way to be catchy our music still bops I wouldn’t say we’re as heavy or as rough sounding as Fugazi they’re just a major influence. (We are nothing like AAR though lol) spiff thinks our guitar work is reminiscent of Minus The Bear and I like that comparison. It’s really hard to do a 1:1 comparison for us though it’s easier to just list a bunch of RIYL bands
@imthegrimace has. I don’t know that we were at our best that day but he’s seen us @JRShoenberger and @spreadthehummus2321 saw us play at our previous Pitt show as well @CarpetElf and @Fucking Dustin know my music the best and have heard the most of the new album - but they’re close friends of mine so if you wanna totally avoid the bias of folks who have always known I’m a good musician and already anticipated my new music, the others above saw us live most recently (and @David- also came to the Dallas show that Dustin saw me at last)
Oh and @Joe4th saw us in Detroit, my voice was kinda ass that day cause the dry air out there fucks with my sinuses but instrumentally we played excellent
Part of what makes Terrain hard to compare to other acts is I am black/mixed and have a baritone vocal range whereas most of my influences have white singers with tenor vocal ranges lol
