One of those shows that had a real clear and concise story to start, and became successful so they had to expand the world and the lore and they hit on some things and miss on others.
I think it’s as simple as everything that happens in Hawkins is good and what happens outside of it is bad
It just goes back to me not getting why you say a show is bad but continue to watch it. Like have some self respect lol “yeah this show is half bad but I gotta know how it ends” no you don’t!
Like making jokes about how old the actors are now and how long it’s taken to finish the show. That sounds bad! That sounds like a bad production! Why invest yourself in it?
Speaking for myself here, I don’t think it’s bad. I think its first season was really really good and it was up and down afterwards. That being said, I also think something can be bad, and entertaining. If Radiohead, something good but a mind numbing bore can exist, there’s room for Stranger Things lol
On the subject of enjoying watching bad things now and then, I am currently watching “All’s Fair” starring Kim Kardashian to see just how bad it is
I enjoy “bad” but entertaining things. I legit love most of the fast and furious movies even though they are bad. I watch Mayor of Kingstown because even though it’s corny it’s entertaining and I can turn half my brain off and enjoy it. I can’t only watch “good” or “serious” movies/tv, I need to break it up.
I wanna watch past lives so bad but everyone also tells me it’s depressing as hell and I don’t need that rn
Stranger Things despite all its flaws is deeply entertaining because they just steal stuff from better films. It’s like the movie Super 8.
