We lost out on Option 2 here. The realtor sent us a breakdown of the 17 offers, which is kinda interesting/demoralizing.

There were 17 offers in total
16 over asking price - of those 12 were over $720,000 - of those 7 were $750,000 or more
3 were cash
14 were financed - of those 2 cover 100% of the appraisal difference, 3 cover a gap of $10,000 and one a gap of $2,000
9 had escalation clauses
3 had home sale contingencies
Every offer but one waived the home inspection
